Pet Project Club

A community where pet project builders help each other grow.

Pet Project Club brings together people in Montenegro who are building pet projects in any field and need support, discussion, users, skills, collaborators, and partners. Building together is more engaging and usually more effective.

Since April 2025, the club has hosted regular offline meetups in Budva and runs a Telegram channel for updates, useful materials, and conversation. Have a project, an idea, or just the urge to build something? Join us.

  • A pet project is any project you do outside work and outside school or university.
  • The term comes from the idea of a pet: something you keep mostly for interest, care, and fun.

Why join

Why join

The club helps you do more than discuss ideas. It helps you find people, knowledge, feedback, and fresh growth points for your projects.

A community of energetic professionals

It is easier to find missing skills in design, development, product, and other areas and ask advice from people who are actually building.

Live conversations with interesting people

This is a space where you meet people who think broadly, build their own projects, and bring real experience into the conversation.

A chance to show your project at any stage

You can bring an idea, a rough prototype, or a working product and ask people to sign up, test it, give feedback, or help validate the direction.

A collective brain for learning new technologies

New tools and technologies are easier to understand when people test them in parallel, share what they learn, and compare what actually works.

Meeting themes and formats

Meeting themes and formats

We currently have several themes and formats, and we try to alternate them so the club stays useful for different kinds of builders.

Introductions and project updates

Every one or two months we gather to meet new members, hear about their projects, and share the current state of our own work, ideas, and updates.

New project release review

When someone launches a project into beta, we meet to look at the mechanics, discuss short-term goals and plans, and give grounded feedback.

Discussion of new technologies and approaches

Sometimes we gather to discuss a notable new tool, agent, LLM, app, or method. These meetings are usually a mix of presentation and discussion.

Productivity sprint

This is a short 90-minute sprint: 15 minutes to define goals and blockers, 60 minutes of focused work, and 15 minutes to review what happens next.

What club meetups look like

Meetups happen in different places and formats. For project discussions, device demos, and remote guests from other cities and countries, we gather in a coworking space with a large screen and proper conference equipment. Sometimes we meet in cafes or restaurants to talk through updates, celebrate, or simply have coffee together.
