Pet project presentation: HelpMeMatch.ai, a service for generating accurate CVs, cover letters, self-presentations, and more with rich context

On Wednesday 11.03 at 18:30 we met offline at Monteco coworking for another Pet Project Club meetup.

This time we had a presentation of a new AI service called HelpMeMatch.ai for improving resumes and preparing for job interviews. It was developed by my friend and one of the remote members of our community.

The key feature of HelpMeMatch.ai is that it does not stop at a standard CV. In addition to the resume itself, it collects stories about your experience: projects, technologies, processes, development practices, and work with different systems and teams. The more of this context you add, the better the system understands your real professional background.

When you find a specific vacancy, the service analyzes its requirements and turns the most relevant stories into achievements inside the CV, increasing its relevance for ATS systems and improving the chance of getting invited to an interview.

Beyond CV adaptation, the platform also helps prepare cover letters, self-presentations, mock interviews, and other parts of the hiring process. The idea is that a candidate with a rich and structured context around their experience can present themselves much more accurately and convincingly, and the system uses that context to strengthen the application.

At the meetup the author gave a live product demo and talked through the mechanics and development plans for the service.

We also discussed what else could be added and where the product might go next.

Practice shows that meetups with live demos of new pet projects and products are the most interesting. So even for people who are not currently looking for a job, this was valuable.
