Reachable - a bot for registering people in need of psychological help

Some people cannot ask for help out loud. Reachable gives them a quieter way — and instantly connects them to real support.

Problem

Many refugees, people with traumatic experiences, and vulnerable groups do not seek help because a phone call is already too big a barrier.
Shame, fear, language difficulties, and emotional numbness build an invisible wall.
Hotline operators face overload, verbal aggression, and secondary traumatization.

What I did

An easy tool for initial intake and registration that replaces a call with a structured first step in chat.

• Works via Telegram bot or web form
• No registration. No apps. No waiting on the line.

How it works

1. Start a chat — anonymously, from Telegram or browser
2. Choose language and basic context — the system adapts to the client
3. Answer a few unobtrusive questions — sorting: urgent or standard case
4. Instantly book an appointment — from the specialist’s available slots

Effortless reporting and real-time analytics

After each session, the bot sends the psychologist a short confirmation form. In a few seconds, the specialist records: session held / duration / type / optional notes.

This enables:

• Statistics ready for donors and regulators
• Operational control of worked hours (payroll calculation / resource planning)
• Monitoring spikes and drops in requests in real time (granularity — 1 day)
• Category analytics (teens, crisis cases, etc.) for any period

Privacy by Design (GDPR)

Encrypted data storage in the database.
Exports for reporting contain no client names or aliases, only unique hashes.
Presentation in Google Sheets — anonymized but operationally useful.

Current status

Closed beta testing with an EU NGO working with refugees, PTSD sufferers, and domestic violence victims.
